Our Story

Still Interpreting Inc. is the oldest privately owned American Sign Language - English interpreting agency in Canada.

David Still and Leslie McPhillips founded Still Interpreting Inc. in 1990 with the goal of advancing accessibility with high-quality sign language interpretation. The following year Corinna Salvail joined the company and the three directors grew Still Interpreting into a well-respected agency with a stellar reputation for providing and coordinating interpreting services throughout British Columbia.

Sadly, in 2009, David passed away, but Leslie and Corinna decided to carry on in his name. To this day, the agency remains committed to providing quality interpretation while going above and beyond to ensure flexibility, reliability, and personalized service for their clients.

After spending over three decades as a director of Still Interpreting and having had an illustrious career, Leslie retired in 2022 and Tyler Churchman joined the company as a director. With this infusion of new energy and passion, Still Interpreting looks forward to continuing to provide you with the high-quality interpreting services you need, while exceeding your expectations of what an agency can offer.
